BRATISLAVA, August 17, (WEBNOVINY) – Economy Minister Juraj Miskov (SaS) is not worried about another potential wave of crisis. The minister dropped the remark at a news conference following his visits on Wednesday to the automobile plant Kia Motors in Zilina and the tire producer Continental Matador Puchov. Both firms are planning investment projects. The carmaker is considering introducing the third shift, which would open over 500 new jobs, while the tire producer is planning investments into production expansion and 300 new jobs.
Based on this information, the economy minister is convinced that the Slovak economy and Slovak companies are not pessimistic regarding a potential crisis and do not see a reason for concern. “I heard really ambitious plans that will bring new investments to Slovakia and create a number of new jobs. I do not have a reason to have doubts about the growth of Slovak economy. At the same time, I do not believe speculations on a potential new wave of crisis. Producers react to real demand on the market and not to speculations in the media,” Miskov concluded at the news conference on Wednesday.
