BRATISLAVA, September 7, (WEBNOVINY) — Jan Slota, leader of the opposition SNS party, is the least trustworthy politician in Slovakia, when two in five Slovaks do not trust him. This stems from results of the latest MVK survey carried out on August 23 -29 on a sample of 1,038 respondents. Those polled were asked the question: “Which politicians cause serious problems and damage standards of political life in the country?” Almost one in five people do not trust leader of the strongest ruling coalition party SDKU-DS Mikulas Dzurinda, while Prime Minister Iveta Radicova from the same party received similar reviews. One in five Slovaks opines that Finance Minister Ivan Miklos damages the quality of Slovak politics, which is about the same result as opposition leader Robert Fico received.
On the other hand, former Prime Minister Robert Fico is also the most popular politician. One in three surveyed persons believe Fico is decent and can be trusted. About one in four people trusts Iveta Radicova, making her the second most decent politician. Next was President Ivan Gasparovic and MOST-HID leader Bela Bugar. One in ten respondents trusts opposition politician Robert Kalinak. Five percent of those polled consider Jan Slota to be a decent politician.
