BRATISLAVA, March 20, (WEBNOVINY) – Chairman of the opposition party SNS Jan Slota does not agree with military operations in Libya and “much less with potential deployment of our Army”. “The situation in Libya is very obscure, no one exactly knows who are rebels and who are not. The international community invaded this African country without being asked to“, Slota said in reaction to Saturday’s military intervention of western superpowers in Libya. He added that the allies are responsible for some civilian causalities, too. “Adventurers who decided upon the intervention in Libya do not care about people or democracy; the aims are clear: Libyan oil,” Slota believes.
The Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry acknowledged the start of the military intervention of coalition forces in Libya. NATO is set to decide whether the alliance will join in the strikes on the Libyan regime on Sunday.
