Slovakia Hosts International Military Exercise

BRATISLAVA, September 15, (WEBNOVINY) — Slovakia will host an international exercise of military police units on Monday for the first time in its history. The military exercise codenamed Black Bear 2011 is organized at the military training area Lest in central Slovakia by the Military Police of the Slovak Armed Forces and the Slovak Ministry of Defense. Presentation of tasks of the exercises will take place on Monday, September 19, at 9:00, Lukas Milan from the communication and press department of the Ministry of Defense informed SITA news agency.

Attending the presentation of the military exercise of NATO multinational military police battalion will be Slovak Defense Minister Lubomir Galko and senior defense representatives of other countries taking part – Poland, the Czech Republic, and Croatia. Black Bear 2011 exercise will feature more than 400 military police officers from all four participating countries. Its task is to harmonize and exercise individual roles, and practice individual skills and abilities of the multi-national battalion.
