The power utility Slovenske Elektrarne has started another stage of testing in connection with the readiness of the third nuclear unit Mochovce for commissioning. “Following the recent conclusion of the pre-operational inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Pre-Operational Safety Review Team (Pre-OSART) and the inspections by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic (UJD SR), we have started another stage of testing of the readiness of the third nuclear unit Mochovce for the commissioning. We will carry out pressure tests of the primary circuit and a reactor, functional tests of devices of the primary and secondary circuit, electric parts and control and management systems during the repeated heating of the third unit adopting operational procedures that will be applied also after nuclear fuel loading,“ Slovenske Elektrarne informed the news agency SITA.
