The Nuclear Regulatory Authority stated based on the control that the Program of the long-term operation of V2 allows the continued safe operation of the nuclear power plant in Jaslovske Bohunice.
Two nuclear units at the power plant V2 in Jaslovske Bohunice can continue generating electricity although they have already reached their planned 30-year lifespan. The third unit reached its lifespan in 2014 and the fourth unit in 2015. Last year, the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (UJD) controlled the Program of the long-term operation of V2 within an inspection. „Following the inspection, we have stated that the program allows the continued safe operation of systems, structures and components of the power plant V2,which were its subject,“ a spokeswoman for the Nuclear Regulatory Authority Zuzana Hostovecka informed the portal vEnergetike.sk.
