The start of operations of Mochovce 3 is expected by the end of 2018 and start of operations of Mochovce 4 by the end of 2019.
The budget for the completion of Mochovce 3 and 4 has been raised for the fourth time. Slovenske Elektrarne informed the portal vEnergetike.sk that the shareholders of the Slovak dominant electricity producer had approved the new budget for the Mochovce project of 5.4 billion euros at the extraordinary General Assembly. The budget has thus increased by roughly 800 million euros compared to the originally approved budget. In 2008, the budget was estimated at 2.8 billion euros, later it was lifted to 3.8 billion euros. The extraordinary General Assembly also approved the new deadlines for the completion of Mochovce 3 and 4. The start of operations of Mochovce 3 is expected by the end of 2018 and start of operations of Mochovce 4 by the end of 2019.
