The third block of the NPP Mochovce is to be finished in the second quarter of 2019, the fourth roughly one year later.
The third block of the NPP Mochovce is to be finished in the second quarter of 2019, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini confirmed during the control day in Mochovce on Tuesday. „In July and August, cold hydro test will be carried out on the third block when the most critical systems are tested. If this goes well, the launch of the third block can continue. I firmly believe that it will be definitely put into operation sometime in the second quarter 2019, and then we can start finishing the fourth block,” said Pellegrini. According to the chairman of the Board of Directors of Slovenske Elektrarne, Branislav Strycek, the fourth block is to be completed within one year after the completion of the third block. „The dialogue with the representatives of the government officials was open and quite tough. We are fully aware of the deadlines and we will do everything to avoid further delays. This is not the construction of the house, so I am not going to say the exact day of the completion of the blocks. However, I can confirm the deadline for the third block – the second quarter 2019 and the fourth block about a year later.
