According to the Vice President of the European Commission, in charge of Energy Union, Maros Sefcovic, the Slovak project Eastring is in a promising position and may appear on the EU list of projects of common interest (PCIs).
Slovak gas pipeline project Eastring has a chance to succeed in the European Union. The Vice President of the European Commission, in charge of Energy Union, Maros Sefcovic, informed reporters that the project managed by the Slovak natural gas carrier Eustream has a good chance to appear on the EU list of projects of common interest (PCIs). „The list is being finalized and should become the part of the first report on Energy Union that I will present on November 18. We are nearing the final stage and negotiations are ongoing. I think that the Eastring project is in a very promising position,“ Sefcovic said.
