Economy Minister Richard Sulik expects the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic (UJD) to grant permission for commissioning the third nuclear unit of Mochovce NPP in the coming weeks. “We expect the first instance permission to be granted shortly, in a few weeks. It is a very important step that shows that the third nuclear unit is ready for commissioning and only the paperwork has to go through,“ Sulik said at the press conference on Thursday. He said that the completion of the Mochovce project had made significant progress in the past nine months.
