Bohunice programme in the period 2021 – 2027 will be subject to a minimum EU co-financing rate set at 50 percent, rather than to a maximum rate of 50 percent, as the European Commission proposed.
The European Union may provide more funds for decommissioning of two nuclear units at the Slovak power plant V1 in Jaslovske Bohunice. The European Parliament urged the European Union to raise the funds for decommissioning of already closed nuclear installations in Slovakia and Bulgaria. “The members of the European Parliament urged the European Union in the resolution approved by the plenary to modify the funding programme for the activities related to decommissioning of the closed nuclear power plant Bohunice V1 in Slovakia and four nuclear units at the Kozloduy nuclear power plant in Bulgaria,“ the European Parliament informed.
