It is yet unknown who was accused of particularly serious crime of violation of the duty to administer someone else’s property. Police officers also refused to specify whether Slovak or also Italian managers were involved.
Police officers had suspicion that unfair practices had been carried out at Slovenske Elektrarne in the past, particularly in connection with management of the company’s assets. A spokeswoman for the Police Presidium, Denisa Baloghova, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk that the preparatory proceeding had been ongoing in this case. Police officers have already accused several people. „In one case, charges were filed against five people in connection with particularly serious crime of violation of the duty to administer someone else’s property,“ Baloghova added. The police are also leading criminal prosecution in another case – a crime of misrepresentation of trade and economic figures. „In this case, no person has been charged yet,“ added Baloghova.
