Under the new decree issued by the Regulatory Office for Network Industries, feed-in tariffs of hydroelectricity will decrease dramatically. Electricity generated by hydropower plants with the installed capacity from 1 to 5 MW will be subsidized with a sum of 73 euros instead of almost 100 euros from January 2017.
The investments in the construction of new renewable energy sources (RES), or high-efficient combined heat and power (CHP) will become slightly less favorable as of the beginning of the year 2017. The Regulatory Office for Network Industries plans to reduce feed-in tariffs of electricity generated at these green sources. The regulator has already worked up a new decree for the new regulatory period from 2017 to 2021. „The adoption of the new Regulatory Policy required this new decree. The decree draft takes into account the knowledge and experience gained from the implementation of the price regulation over the previous regulatory period,“ stated the regulator.
