Every consumer in the tariff D1 – small flats with consumption up to 1,000 kWh – will save money next year, informed the head of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries, Jozef Holjencik.
According to the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO), Slovak households will save tens of euros on electricity next year. The chairman of the Office, Jozef Holjencik, informed at the press conference that the structure of the tariffs in case of electricity distribution has changed fundamentally as it reflects real consumption and respects installation of smart meters. „Every consumer in the tariff D1 – small flats with consumption up to 1,000 kWh – will save money next year. The annual average saving across Slovakia is 31.78 euros,“ said Holjencik. Households that use gas for water heating and heating (tariff D3) will save the most 23.72 euros a year. The regulator expects that the heat costs for a standard 2-bedroom flat with consumption of around 7,000 kWh will fall by roughly 25 euros next year in regard to the approved heat prices for the next year.
