The first nuclear block of the Mochovce NPP has undergone another modernization. Slovenske Elektrarne, which operates this nuclear block, carried out the investments such as supplementary 400-kilovolt switches, modernization of some security systems, or replacement of electrical switchboards during its shutdown. „The project of seismic strengthening of selected technological and construction buildings continued,“ the Slovak dominant electricity producer informed. Similar shutdowns of the nuclear blocks, which include the modernization of security systems, take place once in eight years.
