The Mochovce nuclear unit 4 will be completed later than planned. The commissioning of the nuclear unit 4 was scheduled one year after the unit 3. “Given the current situation at the unit 4, we expect that the time difference between the commissioning of the unit 3 and 4 to be more than a year,“ Mariam Vachova, the director of the Nuclear Supervision Authority (UJD) informed the vEnergetike.sk portal. The authority refused to comment on possible dates for the commissioning of the two nuclear units in Mochovce. The authority says that the deadlines are in the investor’s power. “The investor is currently focusing on the commissioning of the nuclear unit 3. The same activities that are now being carried out at the nuclear unit 3 will later be carried out at the nuclear unit 4. We expect the investor to specify the schedule for the completion of the nuclear unit 4 as soon as the unit 3 is commissioned,“ Vachova said.
