The projects which received the permission from the Economy Ministry last year concerned mostly the construction of new energy infrastructure and renovation of energy facilities.
The interest of investors in the implementation of energy projects in Slovakia did not increase last year. In 2016, the Economy Ministry issued 14 certificates which prove compliance of the investment plan with the long-term concept of the energy policy. In 2017 and 2018, the ministry issued ten certificates. The ministry granted permission to 18 energy projects in 2015. An investor cannot start the construction of an energy source or infrastructure without this certificate.
