Vodohospodarska Vystavba is finishing the action plan and a definite technical solution for the general overhaul of the hydropower plant.
The state has not managed to start the general overhaul of the hydropower plant Gabcikovo a year after its takeover from Slovenske Elektrarne. The inactivity of Slovenske Elektrarne in this matter was, according to the government representatives, one of the main reasons for the state’s decision to take over the largest Slovak hydropower plant from the energy company. The state-owned company Vodohospodarska Vystavba, which currently operates the power plant in Gabcikovo, does not know when the general overhaul will be carried out and how much it will cost.
