SaS MPs submitted the amendment to the Regulation Act for the following Parliament’s session in which they would like to introduce an obligation for Regulatory Office for Network Industries to publish all price decisions affecting power monopolies.
MPs from the opposition party Freedom and Solidarity SaS want to uncover the price proceedings led at the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) which set prices for energy monopolies. SaS MPs Karol Galek and Jana Kissova have already submitted the amendment to the Regulation Act to the Parliament. MPs are to discuss the amendment at the first Parliament’s session at the end of January. “The main goal of our proposal is to increase transparency and public control over the price regulation affecting monopolies in power, gas, heating and water sectors,“ MPs stated. This amendment would introduce an obligation for the regulator to publish all price decisions for monopolies doing business in power, gas, heating and water sectors on its website.
