The Russian company TVEL is currently negotiating with Slovenske Elektrarne on the possibility of additional nuclear fuel supplies for the inventories of Slovak nuclear power plants.
The cooperation between the Russian company TVEL and Slovenske Elektrarne is expanding. The Russian company is considering the expansion of the Russian nuclear fuel supplies for the inventories of Slovak nuclear power plants in Mochovce and Jaslovske Bohunice to meet the requirements of the the Euratom Supply Agency (ESA). TVEL’s vice president for commerce and international cooperation, Oleg Grigoryev and Slovenske Elektrarne’s Fuel Cycle and Radioactive Waste Director, Juraj Rovny, discussed this at the International Forum Atomexpo 2016 held in Moscow. „We highly praise the quality of the Russian nuclear fuel. Our cooperation has been ongoing for more than 30 years and exploitation of nuclear fuel in terms of safety and reliability is very good,“ Rovny said adding that the Slovak partner appreciates the long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with the company TVEL on nuclear fuel supplies.
