The Constitutional Court declined Slovenske Elektrarne’s complaint against the steps taken by the Supreme Court which dismissed the appeal of the Slovak dominant electricity producer in connection with the trial over the invalidity of the contract on the operation of the Gabcikovo hydropower plant.
The company Slovenske Elektrarne (SE) has lost another fight over the Gabcikovo hydropower plant. The Constitutional Court has rejected SE’s complaint against the steps taken by the Supreme Court which dismissed the appeal of the Slovak dominant electricity producer in connection with the trial over the invalidity of the contract on the operation of the hydropower plant. „This case was debated at a closed session of the First Senate of the Constitutional Court on January 11 and was rejected with the resolution,“ a spokeswoman for the Constitutional Court, Martina Ferencova, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. The Constitutional Court refused to specify the rejection. „A written resolution will be delivered to the legal representatives of the parties involved and will be published on our website once it comes into effect,“ Ferencova stated.
