Slovak villages without gas access will remain without this commodity supply as the gas company SPP – Distribucia does not plan any expansion of the gas distribution network in the villages without natural gas supply. „A further development of the gas distribution network is unnecessary in regard to the achieved level of gas access in the villages,“ a spokesman for SPP – Distribucia Milan Vanga informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. In Slovakia, 77 percent of the villages with more than 94 percent of inhabitants have access to gas. The distribution company is currently focusing on distribution networks in new residential localities. „In regard to a dramatic development of the construction, we have been gradually connecting these localities to the gas distribution network for several years. These localities are usually situated in the villages with gas access, so it concerns densification of distribution network,“ added Vanga.
