According to the current deadlines of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic, nuclear fuel should be delivered to the third block of Mochovce NPP in October 2016, which represents the beginning of a physical launch of the nuclear reactor block.
The completion of the third and fourth nuclear blocks at Mochovce NPP is currently not in a delay. At least this is the evaluation of the project carried out by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (UJD). The third nuclear block is expected to be finished in autumn 2016 and the fourth block a year later. Director of the Department of Safety Evaluation and Control Activities of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority, Peter Uhrik, informed the portal vEnergetike.sk that nuclear fuel shall be delivered to the third block in October 2016, which represents the beginning of a physical launch of the nuclear unit. The first kilowatt hours of electricity generated at the third unit of Mochovce MPP are to be delivered to the grid in December 2016.
