Ukrainians have been using the capacity of Vojany-Uzhgorod gas pipeline to roughly 50 percent since early September, as their daily gas shipments from Slovakia are roughly 23.5 million cubic meters.
Slovakia has been helping Ukraine with natural gas supplies for a year. On September 2, 2014, the company Eustream put the reverse-flow pipeline Vojany-Uzhgorod into commercial operation. Our eastern neighbour initially showed a great interest in gas supplies. Ukraine even requested increased gas shipments. After 1-year operation of the pipeline, it can be said that Ukrainians have not always used its maximum shipment capacity.
