It will be interesting to watch the trinity of the extravagant state, tough businessmen and investor from southern Europe where system „tomorrow“ is very popular.
It is becoming clear who will assume control over Slovakia‘s largest electricity producer Slovenske Elektrarne. Apparently it will be the „holy“ trinity of the Italians, Slovaks and Czechoslovaks. The first two are already present in Slovenske Elektrarne, the third is currently negotiating about the price and terms of its entry. Czechoslovaks who control Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding have not confirmed last week’s media information on a preliminary agreement clinched with Italian Enel to enter Slovenske Elektrarne. As they probably have no rival to fight and Italians plan to sell at least a part of their 66-percent stake by the end of the year (the rest after completing Mochovce nuclear blocks), it is more or less just a matter of the final confirmation of their agreement. There is a week left for the final touches.
