The construction of the Slovak-Polish gas pipeline entered the new stage. Welding works started this week, following the preparation of more than a 100-kilometer long site and delivery of steel pipes along the route. “The first weld joints were made in the cadaster of the village Chlmec in Humenne District,“ Pavol Kubik, a spokesman for Eustream, the natural gas carrier, informed the news agency SITA. More than 6,000 steel pipes with the length of 6-18 meters and a diameter of more than 1,000 mm are needed for the construction of the 130-kilometer stretch of the Slovak part of the gas pipeline.
