Stredoslovenska Energetika – Distribucia recorded an increased interest in its circuit breakers following the chaos with energy prices in early 2017.
Slovak electricity consumers are unlikely to experience the chaos with energy prices in early 2018, similar to the one in January 2017. The regulation which does not introduce any changes in fees based on the size of the circuit breaker is still valid. “We do not expect the situation from early 2017 to repeat. The regulatory authority did not change the legislation, leaving the structure of the price for the access into the distribution network and electricity distribution for the next year unchanged. In regard to the fees for the access into the distribution network and electricity distribution, our company proposed the Regulatory Office for Network Industries to keep this fee unchanged,“ a spokesman for Stredoslovenska Energetika – Distribucia Miroslav Gejdos informed the portal vEnergetike.sk. “Prices for the access into the distribution network and electricity distribution are valid for five years, from 2017 to 2021 unless the regulator decides about their change,” a spokeswoman for Zapadoslovenska Distribucna Michaela Dobosova added. Vychodoslovenska Distribucna (VSD) does not expect the fees paid by households for using the network to change based on the size of the circuit breaker or the number of its phases in the near future.
